Sarangapani Jathakam(2025) is a Crime-Comedy directed by Mohana krishna Indraganti, Starring Priyadarshi Pulikonda in the titular character Sarangapani “Saranga”, Roopa Koduvayur as the female lead “Mythili”, and Srinivasa Avasarala, Vennela Kishore, Naresh, Tanikella Bharani, Harsha Chemudu in important roles.The movie was produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies. Vivek Sagar directed the music of the film.

Sarangapani Jathakam is a good one time watch, with first half of the movie working well comically, while building suspense on how the protagonist Saranga, is going to tackle the new problem in his fate, and marry his love, Mythili.
The Second-half lags behind the first half’s set bar and, may feel slow at times. The Climax felt rather rushed and lagging in screenplay, like it had to give in to the overall run time, and fit in the template to deliver the message.
The movie is a simple watch, and all the actors of Sarangapani Jathakam, had acted out their characters well. Vivek Sagar had played his musical score brilliantly, giving an overall fulfilling feel to the movie. The Song “Sanchaari Sanchaari” was my personal favourite of the album,penned down by Saraswati Putra Ramajogayya Sastry garu. Priyadarshi is growing as an actor and I am in for it!

Plot (Spoilers ahead)–

Sarangapani “Saranga” is a car salesman,who strongly follows horoscopes and Astrology. On an auspicious day said so by a newspaper horoscope, he decides to confess his love to his boss, while to his surprise, Mythili, his boss, confesses her love for him in return. They decide to get married, but at a friend’s party, Saranga meets an influential Cheiromantist Jiggy who says he is destined to murder someone, in order to live his life happily. Saranga gets terrified,and starts to derive plans to kill some bad person with his best friend “Chandu”. After several failed tries to kill people like his horrible relative giving her an insulin filled chocolate, his pervert boss by selling him a poisionous spray through an adult website by hacking him, he gets in trouble at his fiance’s birthday party.
He now confesses everything to the palmist he met that day and asks for his help. The palmist Jiggy suggests to kill a popular gangster Ahobila Rao in Vizag at his birthday party, to which Saranga agrees. To accomplish this mission, Saranga and Chandu leave to Visakhapatnam, and prepare themselves. On the D-Day’s night, after a crazy turn of events, it is known that jiggy is a fraud and was just using Saranga as a pawn to kill Ahobila rao, his girlfriend’s husband who was in fact a good person.
The film concludes on an message tone through Ahobila rao’s words that horoscopes are just a creation of man, and there are no palm signs which say to take life of anyone,instead just are marks made in a baby’s womb.
